Tomorrow's The Day!

Tomorrow sees the start of the 7th Spurn Migration Festival. Kilnsea Wetlands and Beacon Ponds area are still providing some excellent birding, with both the adult White-rumped Sandpiper and juvenile Dotterel on show again today along with a good supporting cast. In recent days there have been Pintail, Wigeon, Avocet, Little-ringed Plover, Black-tailed Godwit, Ruff, Curlew Sandpiper, Wood Sandpiper, Hobby, Mediterranean Gulls and a Caspian Gull. We’ve also seen the first Pink-footed Geese of the Autumn heading south. With the forecast for North/North Westerly winds over the weekend, sea-watching should also prove fruitful. So, what are you waiting for? Get down here and experience the great spectacle of bird migration. Tickets are available on the day from reception at Westmere Farm - see you there!
